Cases of Patient Pretreatment: If pretreatment with a rapid palatal expander, pendulum appliance or quad helix is carried out on a patient, then bands must be attached to the appropriate teeth from the beginning of pretreatment onwards. The set-up is designed in accordance with the aim of the treatment. Once it is time to remove the pre-treatment apparatus, the lingual brackets can be bonded at the same appointment. No additional measures for intermediate retention are required and there are no interruptions to the course of treatment.
You can inform us of any pr-treatment in the appropriate part of the order form.
Bands: Bands must be inserted at the beginning of treatment. Our production process requires that the bands are already integrated into the corrective impression. If the corrective impression cannot be prepared with bands, please include the pre-adapted bands separately with the order. We will then transfer these bands to the model teeth.Impression with bands as and anchoring system..
Undesirable occlusion contact can result in bracket failure during the course of treatment. If this occurs repeatedly, bands can also be retrofitted in the posterior area and incorporated into the existing set-up. Due to its different position, the "new" bracket on the band may cause a compensation bend on the arch at this position. This possible additional compensation bend will be transferred to the template arch and the existing treatment arch.
Please note: Brackets that are positioned on bands cannot be self-ligating. The effect of heat at the joint with the band disables the self-ligating mechanism
Supplementary treatment measures
A Herbst hinge will be produced only if required for the treatment situation. For this process, partial impressions of the four tooth areas must be carried out. Shortly after production, the steel structure with an appropriate hinge for forward displacement is inserted.
Impacted Teeth: Teeth that are impacted or whose lingual tooth surface is covered by equivalent tissue can be incorporated into the existing set-up cast during future treatment by taking a "small impression" of the now released tooth surface (tooth). The bracket position, which has been missing up to this point, is added with the available template arch and the position of the bracket is secured in a transfer cap.
