PERFORMANCE

The bracket is bonded closely to the center of resistance, offering excellent biomechanics for tipping and rotating teeth. The first treatment phase can be achieved remarkably fast, as most 2 dimensional cases range from 12 to 18 weeks. Generally, only 1 to 2 wires are required so treatment is fast and completely under your control.

POWER

Taking into consideration that different bracket dimensions are required for the treatment of premolars and molar, the JOY™ (pre)- molar brackets are designed as true four wing brackets in order to offer the mesio-distal slot dimensions necessary for outstanding rotation and tip control for pre-molars and molars.

SPEED

The JOY™ bracket’s unique twin shoulder wing design enables the wire to slide with low friction. This supporting wing design significantly reduces friction between archwire and elastic ligature with wires up to .016”. This reduction in friction enables the leveling phase to move more rapidly and efficiently.

​The JOY™ lingual bracket is designed specifically for adult cases that have relapsed or that only require two dimensional treatments. If the 3rd dimension of torque is required, the use of rectangular wires and an indirect tray is recommended.

Dr Rafi Romano is a specialist in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, earned at The Dental Faculty, Hebrew University, Hadassah Jerusalem. He maintains a private practice in Tel Aviv, Israel, limited to orthodontics, with an emphasis on adult and esthetic orthodontics.
Dr. Romano is the editor of five books:  Lingual Orthodontics, (Decker, 1998), The Art of the Smile (Quintessence, 2005), The Art of Treatment Planning (Quintessence 2009), Lingual & Esthetic Orthodontics, (Quintessence 2011) and The Art of Detailing, (Quintessence, 2013).

Dr. Romano is a member of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Esthetic Dentistry – IJED.
Dr Romano is the former Editor-in-chief of "Orthodontics: The Art and Practice of Dentofacial Enhancement," Quintessence publishing (formerly, “World Journal of Orthodontics” –WJO) and former editor of the Journal of the Israeli Orthodontic Society, 

He lectures worldwide on esthetic orthodontics and adult multidisciplinary orthodontic treatment and conducts courses in lingual orthodontics around the globe.
He is an Active Member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry - EAED, American Association of Orthodontics - AAO and the World Federation of Orthodontists – WFO.
